In September we published the 3rd edition of Making Sense of it All to coincide with the new school year. The new edition includes major updates on the delivery of education, health and social care in West Sussex, a considerable number of new entries in our directories and for the first time, a comprehensive index to ensure information is always to hand.
The guide is now firmly established as a must have for parent carers in West Sussex and to date we have distributed over 7,000 copies of the book since it was first published in 2012. We plan to distribute 2,000 copies of this edition before the summer of 2019, and thanks to the BIG Lottery Fund can now distribute to parents for free.
In order to maximise the accessibility of Making Sense of it All to both parent carers and professionals we have published an e-book version of the guide, which is available to download in both iBook and Kindle format. Like the paperback version the e-book is free and available to download directly from our website. To download a copy please visit the e-book page.
Reaching Families has been chosen as TSB Bank (Worthing Branch) charity of the year, which commenced on the 4th September. The bank are holding a number of events to help fundraise for the charity, with the next event being a Christmas cake sale on the 20th December including competitions and a lucky dip. More details to follow soon.
Reaching Families are hoping to recruit a new Treasurer to oversee the financial governance and management of the charity. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial manager who can help a rapidly growing organisation achieve financial sustainability and best practice in its financial management.
Candidates interested in the post should in the first instance contact our Project Manager, Brian O’Hagan, for an informal chat about the role, or you can email him.
