Fundraise for Us

If you are someone who likes to run, cycle or even jump out of airplanes perhaps you could organise a sponsored run or sky-dive for Reaching Families!! If that’s too exhausting then a coffee morning or pub quiz held for us would be just as effective in raising much needed funds to help sustain our work. Volunteer for Us

Can you contribute your time and experience to support other SEND families? Would you like to meet new people, provide emotional support and develop your skills? If so, you might be interested in training to be a Face-2-Face befriender. Our 8 week training course covers a range of vital skills and knowledge including:

• Active listening
• Verbal and non-verbal communication
• Confidentiality and self-disclosure
• Empathy
• Resilience and personal boundaries
• Safeguarding
• Life as a parent-carer
• Reaching Families and other local services

Join our Board of Trustees

We are keen to recruit parent-carer trustees who have relevant experience or skills and who are committed to supporting parent-carers, able to help our charity grow and develop and ensure it is governed effectively. We are particularly interested in people who have a background in financial management, fundraising or event management, health, HR, supporting other parent carers, or who have a child with rare or complex needs.
