NEWS

It's official! Reaching Families is all grown up!

We founded the charity 18 years ago (June 2008) with a blank sheet of paper, an off the shelf constitution and £10 in the bank.

18 years on and we have an amazing team of 15 staff, 12 volunteers, a £300k annual budget and multiple services supporting over 3,000 SEND families a year.

We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to everyone who has helped us come this far - all the parent-carers who have worked and volunteered for us, the funders who enabled us to grow and all the parents and partners who helped shape and develop our services.

We have a few things planned to mark this milestone including an 18th celebration on Sunday 5th July. Please see flyer below for further details.

Thank you once again. Here’s to the next 18 years!

Future of ND Navigation Assured

Thanks to additional funding from NHS Sussex we are thrilled to announce the future of our ND Navigation Service has been assured for the period 2026-28.

This of course means we can continue supporting families of children and young people waiting on assessment for ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent conditions who are referred to the service. It also means we can continue providing community drop ins via our ND Navigation Roadshow.

For further information on the ND Navigation Service and how we can support your family, please visit our dedicated page.

On the Road

We are delighted to be taking not one but two of our projects out into the community once again this term - our Benefits Advice Service and ND Navigation Service. Both projects are in high demand so by taking each project out to community partners and venues across West Sussex we hope to maximise the number of parents we can support whilst making both more accessible.

Our advisors and support workers will be available to help parents with questions and queries across a range of subjects from DLA, PIP and Carers Allowance to queries around assessment for Autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions. Bookable time slots are available to speak to our advisors. Further information is available in the accompanying flyers (click each flyer to view full size pdf in a new tab/window).
